CoH Patch (Sept.-25-07) Help

hi uhh anyone else getting a problem with the latest patch? after its downloaded and asks you to restart the game and apply the patch, it says that it is corrupted or something...help plz

should i re-install the game? or should i try re-downloading the patch? im gonna try and re-download the patch tomorrow

 

It's happened in the past, you'll have to make sure you delete the already downloaded patch file, and redownload it. If keeps messing up, you'd have to reinstall and keep try updating it all over again.


You try turning off your Firewall/Anti-Virus while downloading/installing, might help.

 

ok well yeah like i said im gonna re-download it tomorrow so hopefully it helps. btw i've heard you get the 2 new armies in the patch, is this true scavar?

 

I am having a problem where thhe dlownload is just sitting and it looks as if has completed. I ended up uninstalling it and bought a new cd to see if it would work but when i reinstalled it still sits in same place and did not redownload at all. I do not know how to remove the patch manually so can anyone tell me how to fix this issue..

 

Technically yeah, but you wont benefit from them, the patch only enables you to fight *against* people with opposing fronts, they will be able to use the two new armies, but people with classic CoH wont be able to use them, your stuck with just the americans and axis sides.

 

well...re-downloading didnt work. i got some error message, so now im just gonna re-install

 

Re-installing and redownloading all the patches should solve the problem. If that doesn't work either you can try downloading the patches from somewhere else other than through the game.

And it was already answered but the new armies are part of the expansion pack, and the patch just lets you fight against them.

 

well are the new armies stronger? cause if so that's so not fair! lol

 

Not really, everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. It's all balanced.
