    Colin Mcrae DiRT keeps crashing on 8600mgt need help pls

    hey i just got the game Colin Mcrae DiRT,cant help it but the game keeps crashing every 5 minutes :( ..i tryed chaiging the drivers from 169.09 to 169.04 but still no change...
    after about 5 minutes in the game it stops but i can still hear the sound,then suddenly crashed back to desktop....

    pls if any 1 has any advice its more than helpfull... this game rox!! im running it on a acer aspire 5920, 8600m GT

    Is it the nvdisp.dll error? Has anyone found a solution to that?

    BTW, I've been dying to play DiRT. The Colin McRae series of racing games are by far the best racing games I've ever played. You get a true sense of gravity and having a co-pilot is really cool.

    its says that the nvdia display driver has stoped responding and has sucessfully recovered,with a yellow and black exclamination mark on the taskbar... have any solution for this?

    I saw your post while Googling for info on Laptops and registered to answer your query - I had the exact same error on a Win 98 Desktop 4 years ago - it was caused by a faulty ram module.

    I took all my ram sticks out and put them in individually - and it would not post with only the errant one in place.

    Do you guys know that Colin Mcrae died in a helecopter accident a couple of months ago.
    I have a couple of his games, and i feel sad everytime i see hear his name.

    hey man i tried that still teh game crashes and say's the nvdia dispaly driver nvlddmkm has stoped working and has recovered sucessfully :(
