I'm not sure if this is the correct sub for this topic (or if this forum is even the right forum), but I figured you all are pretty knowledgeable so I'd give it a try. Mods please move to the correct area if needed.

My setup is as follows: Laptop in sig streams to NVIDIA Shield downstairs. NVIDIA Shield is connected to an Optoma UHD 60 projector. The issue I'm having is while the stream to the Shield is active, the color settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel have no affect at all on the stream. However if you view the mirrored image on the laptop's screen, the settings do work.

The issue is some games (like the Witcher 3) appear very dark on the Shield Stream. As such i need to mess with the gamma while playing. Changing the gamma in game or through the control panel does nothing to the stream, but it does affect the laptop monitor. Any idea how I can fix this.

Please watch the video I made which shows the issue exactly.

Why would this affect any display except those connected to the laptop itself? You're adjusting the color settings locally in the graphics driver.

While that makes sense, it didn't always work like this. I used to be able to affect the gamma by changing the local display setting in the Nvidia control panel. Then there was a driver update or perhaps an update to the Shield firmware and that functionality stopped working.

How would I go about adjusting the gamma on the Shield locally then? Theres nothing I can find buried in its settings. . . .
