    You can usually download from the official site but it hasn't been working for me and a few others for a while. I have found a torrent here but of course, use at your own risk!

    This. The Tiberium universe was a great setting for real-time strategy. Shame the actual games were hit-and-miss.

    So the main site isn't working for me. So could someone explain to an idiot who has been living under a rock what exactly Renegade X is? It looks like a third-person vehicle shooter set in the C&C universe?

    its based off command and conquer renegade. a first/3rd person FPS/RTS hybrid of command and conquer. its a remake with upgrades.

    restarted the game and textures loaded fine... Terrible performance though... not sure if I expected any different from an indie game.

    I had much better performance from the multiplayer beta version but I guess there was a lot less going on. I was getting around 40 fps with high settings and 30 fps with ultra.

    Edit: After playing through the single player, I am a bit disappointed. There are too many timers, Havok is no longer the lone soldier and I feel they have been influenced by current fps a lot and perhaps lost some of the renegade feel. I know it is more of a demo but not being able to wander of and explore is a shame.
