Does anyone have the C&C Ultimate Collection from Origin? Do you know if you can install individual games or does every single one get installed? I own "the last decade" or whatever it was called on DVD, and it let you install individual games. I just don't want it to consume 30GB when the one or two games I will play at any specific time will use up only 4-6GB. Thanks.

You can install the individual games (through Origin) if you like. Of course, you pay for all of them but you can choose not to install some.

A problem I've encountered with C&C UC though is that configuring an individual game with mods hasn't worked for me yet. One of my favorites is the Shockwave mod for Zero Hour and while that worked for the stand-alone game and for The First Decade version, I haven't gotten it to work on the UC/Origin version yet.

I got my copy on steam, but it kept crashing on like 4th mission no matter what, so uninstall. Enjoyed red alert 2 way way more tbh. Didn't crash once either...

Thanks guys. I think I might bite. $20 for all those is a great bargain.

Definitely is. I've mostly only played Generals and Zero Hour, though I really should try my hand in the more traditional C&Cs (plus the odd ones like Renegade, RA3, and the like).

Generals Zero Hour is my favorite too. I still like to play skirmishes now and again.

The Red Alert 2 FMV cutscenes were so over-the-top. Loved them! Also Kari Wührer AKA Tanya. Mmmm...

I still remember the first Red Alert's Tanya. "CHA-CHING!" and her psycho laugh when you ordered her to murder some poor fool.

LOL Tanya was so OP. Red Alert 2 Tanya was definitely my favorite. :D

I've still got all my original RA and RA2 CD's but they're for Win 95/98/2000 so I doubt they'd work properly on my modern systems if at all. But I guess that's what my ancient Win XP tower is for. :p

Actually I tried it, worked on win7 alright. I think I'll go find my copy and give It a spin after all this talk.

You can look up Open RA. It's a free project that adds compatibility for Tiberium Dawn, Red Alert and Dune 2000 for the new OSes. Games are a little altered, with rebalancing and some new units and features, but it's the same old Westwood games we're used to.

TotalBiscuit did a review on it, if you want to check that out on Youtube.
