Hi my generals zero hour is stuttering like crazy on skirmish maps only while my friend with a 1ghz computer has zero stuttering and same resolution and graphcis settings. my laptop is a core 2 duo with 9600gt and 4gb of ram, it should be enough to run 3 instances of generals no problem, does it have something to do with dual core so it stuttres?

Are you running Vista or XP? Is it from the C&C: First Decade collection or standalone?

You can try one of the set affiinity programs here to set it to one core or the other:

I used it before. I had a similar issue, and this fixed it. Although, after I reformatted my PC eventually, I installed C&C Generals and Zero Hour and it worked fine.

Some of it might have to do with your network card too. Try updating those drivers, or use the default windows one.
