    Command and Conquer Generals on Vista

    I just installed command and conquer generals on my Inspiron 1520 and when I try to run it, the title screen pops up and then it just sits there. Any advice?

    upgrade to xp sp 3. vista just doesn't run some games

    Generals runs fine on my vista laptop, but I copied it directly from the HD of my old windows XP machine....

    Yeah, I can confirm it runs fine on Vista as well. Maybe try reinstalling it?

    Try right-clicking and running as administrator. Also try running it in compatibility mode for xp. I've got it running on 64 bit vista with no problems.
