    Hi there!

Ive seen this lappy at spanish online shop for "self configuring" at a start price of 999€!!

I was wondering if there is much difference between the 8600GT DDR2 and DDR3

    thanks

The GDDR3 version will be faster because GDDR3 can accommodate a greater bandwidth than GDDR2. So, the GDDR3 version of the 8600M GT will be able to handle more memory load than the GDDR2 because it'll be clocked faster AND run faster at the same time.

The difference is pretty significant, too. I remember skynetwork tested with GDDR2 and got a pretty low 3DMark06 without overclocking compared to the GDDR3 8600M GT.
