Hey everyone. I just want to say this game is very good and anyone in here that plays this game I've got a question...

The thing is that is it me or the game that my resources are coming in really slowly. I capture a lot of points on the map and still my resources are really low. Maybe they are trying to limit down the number of units on the map, but I'm comparing this to Dawn of War (same game creator) and DOW's resources comes in a lot faster. Like eventually at the end of DOW I would have enough resources to fool around, where as Company of Hero I would barely have enough to make a foot soldier.

    Any help would greatly appretiated.

Did you fortify all your points? Are thy all connected? Fortifying them will increase the amount of resources coming in. For example +10 Manpower with fortification will increase to maybe +20.

There is a thread about the feedback of the game, not about resources. And if you think there is a thread about my resource problem please post a link.

Yes I fortified them and made sure they are connected. And for some reason the AI seem to get tanks out a lot faster than I do, even tho I capture most or all of the resources. I was just wondering is the resources suppose to come in slow like that?

Notice that axis side can get tanks easier and cheaper( if I remember correctly). Also notice that getting tanks fast is all about fuel control. If you spend fuel, say making mg nests, upgrading units or building structures other than supply yard, you are spending it wrong. On some maps there's also less fuel than in other's. And yes, in this case fuel is coming slow and you won't get many tanks fast, so spend it wisely and keep good care of the tanks already produced (actually you should always do).

Yeah, resources are slower than in DoW, it makes you take better care of your troops. Remember there are different "sized" resource points. Taking the high or medium ones are preferable to the lows.

Yeah, its on purpose that it's slower.
DoW is based on Warhammer 40k. The entire point in that universe is that anything less than 1000 soldiers aren't important, they're just thrown at whatever war is going on. (With space marines that might be stretching the truth a bit, but still...). If your troops are getting slaughtered, it just means you should send even more troops.

CoH is, well, about one company which means they have few units available, and you can't just send off 200 men to get killed and then request another 200 reinforcements. ;)

CoH is really about being careful and not losing troops because it takes ages to recruit new ones.

This is why CoH is a more involving and strategical game. Makes you think differently and possible more fun involved. A little harder than other RTS, in my opinion.

Don't know about more involving or strategical. Plenty of strategy in DoW as well. (It's just at a faster pace, and it forces you to rely on more aggressive strategies, but they're still just as, well, strategic)

I think there's definitely something to be said for DoW's tactics too though. It means the game is less about the units you use (because those can always be replaced), and more about what you do with them, when, where and how you attack, and how you react to your opponent's moves.

But yeah, CoH definitely makes you think differently, which is good. Adds some variety. DoW is nice and CoH is nice, but DoW *and* CoH is best... They're different games with different playstyles. :D

Ahhh, no wonder. So the game is more focused on releastic aspects than a gaming aspect.

It's still focused on gaming, just a different pace. Small skirmishes instead of world-shattering wars. I enjoy both ways.
