I don't get why they added the British; the Russians would have been far more interesting.....it's a shame that in practically every game, the force that really won the second world war is overlooked entirely. :(

I'm in the beta, and let me tell you the two new sides are not only completely different from each other, but WAY different then the previous two sides.

I assume they added the British and other german dudes, so they could do a second expansion with Russians and Japanese. I only wish the beta would let me do skirmishes, it's a pain in the behind online. It's using some crummy version of relic online it says, well not crummy, but it seems to be acting like the original relic online when CoH first cameout, which was crappy connection with other players.

The games fun though, it should be interesting when you can play all four sides, I can really see how they can work together.

What's the German Panzer Elite supposed to represent as a new army? As in, obviously in real life there was no such army name or group, so did they just invent some sort of 'elite' or what....curious to hear from anyone who's played the game

They are a more specialized kind of army. I have a hard time trying to describe how the two forces work because they are both so dramatically different then the original.

Essentially though, there is a lot more Infantry centered combat, and light vehicle stuff/defense buildings and such. What I don't understand about the Panzer Elite is why they don't have more Tanks, doesn't Panzer mean tank in german? Tanks exists and can be very powerful, but I think the Single Player is where it will shine, along with combining for forces online.

By the way, the weather effects are pretty niffty.

I think they just meant the "elite" soldiers of the panzer division. But yeah panzer means armor and its weird they would have less tanks.
