Which Game should I get? Company of Heroes? or Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars.
I looked at Gamespot, and they both got the same rating of 9.0/10.
I've played the Red Alert and Old Command And Conquer series, and I want to know what makes CC3 different than the past.
I've never played Dawn of War or any othe Relic Entertainment games.
*For the record, I love World War II, and I also love future and modern warfare games.
What I'm Looking For
1.) Best Graphics
2.) Best Gameplay
3.) Best Sound
4.) Longest Campaign Mode
5.) Value (Price worth)
6.) Game Engine
7.) Overall Score

I'd say go for Company of Heroes since you're into WWII, also the missions in CoH are about 1hr+ long from what I've played
But in CnC3 the missions are about 30 mins long, but I don't know how many missions/campains there are total in each game.
I think CoH is more strategical than CnC3, you have a pop cap so you can't mass units, even though you sorta have unlimited resources, the graphics are better imo, I found the missions too long but I never bothered to save in the middle of em ><. -
Well, I did see CoH at Best Buy for $20. If you can get it for that price I would get CoH. It is refreshing after C&C type games. Don't get me wrong though, C&C is a lot of fun. I think CoH makes you use more strategy though.

imo,
if you like colorful lasers, bright lights, and neat explosions then c&c
if you like more realistic explosions with debris and a bit more realistic colors, then CoH
personally, i've only played the demo for c&c but i liked it a little more because it reminds me of the old c&c games. it's less tactical, more how quick you can gather and build and mow down your competition. CoH can get a bit frustrating with its tactics if you're not careful, but still great fun. -

So how would you really rate COH out of 10?
And what about CC3 -
i played COH at a friends house yesterday and i have to say that it took a little too long for me to do the mission as you have to make everymove so perfectly but c&c is awesome i play it on my xbox 360 and its just so awesome to mass troops and have a huge war
-
The graphics in Company of Heroes are better, and it's a much more tactical game, although personally I find Command and Conquer tiring at this stage. If you haven't played Dawn of War, you should also definitely look at that, excellent game; I think it actually comes free with some copies of Company of Heroes (It does here anyway)
-
If you want ratings, ign.com has video reviews of almost every game. The video reviews give you a good idea of how the game looks and plays.
-
company of heroes all the way, it's the best RTS game i've ever played, but C&C3 is pretty good too. in my opinion, if you're into the genre, then you should get both, speaking of graphics, both look stunning, but the great physics, stunning animations and the fully destructible maps, make CoH the better looking title. COH fetaures some terrific gameplay, and is more tactical than C&C3, and both feature great and entertainig campaigns, but i found COH's campaign to be more entertaining, though C&C3's is longer(features 3 campaigns). here in europe, the COH package includes a free version of warhammer 40k:dawn of war(a pretty good RTS), which means better value. mind you that COH won several GOTY awards last year...
-
1.) Best Graphics - CoH
2.) Best Gameplay - C&C3
3.) Best Sound - CoH
4.) Longest Campaign Mode - Tie
5.) Value (Price worth) - C&C3 (multiplayer + ladder seasons /w prizes + leagues are already up everywhere)
6.) Game Engine - C&C3 (only because its not as demanding)
7.) Overall Score - Tie (they are a different kind of RTS too hard to judge)
My vote went for C&C3 but i own both and you can't go wrong with either. CoH involves more tactical and planning. C&C3 is exactly like starcraft, its all about faced paced action, micro, and counters with certain units; powers/unit abilities add much more depth to the game then C&C2 did. -

You can't really compare the two because CoH is more of a tactical, squad based game aside from it being part RTS. CnC3 is old-school RTS that gamers have known for years. And besides, CnC3 is on a much larger scale as compared to CoH. CoH has an awesome physics engine though which adds to the eye-candy when things are up-close.
Hmm... if both games are on sale (or not if you don't care about spending). Get both! Trust me, they're quite different from each other. You'll just be glad you bought both. -

Great! If you still cant decide, trust ur poll

Dont see how you can trust the poll when like most people who posted actually said COH is better... For these kinds of things polls are meaningless. Get both games and try it out. I personally think COH is a much better game than CNC3. CNC3 just updates the graphics a little, added some units and uses the patched-up Generals engine (which used to have crazy memory leak). If you want micro go with COH, if you want macro play SupCom. If you like Commander and Conquer in general you will like CNC3.

Ok, thanks.
-
CnC is better, its just so classic. You can't miss CnC. But of course get both if you can, and are a RTS fan.
-
I'll say get both...
I own both games and I reckon if you like to play some light RTS games then go for CnC3. Most CnC3 games are over in 20 minutes. If you want to play a extremely good and a RTS that involves more thinking and skills then go for CoH.
-
Both are very good games actually. CoH has a different approach to RTS due to squad system while you get a more traditional RTS experience with C&C3.
However, except for graphics, I still like C&C Generals much more than C&C3. I prefer using left click when moving units. Also, I dunno if its just me but I like tanks that look like regular tanks or warplanes that look like warplanes hehe -

Yes, C&C Generals was AWESOME! Actually, I should say is awesome as I still play it now and then.
I agree with jagged. I like the interface of Generals more than the original Command & Conquer interfaces, and I like it when the military weapons are more realistic. -
Sneaky_Chopsticks Notebook Deity
ah, ok, well, I got both. XD
-
U gotta tell us which you like more.
-
Sneaky_Chopsticks Notebook Deity
So far, they're both great. Personally, I like COH because it's more realistic, and plus, nearly everything is destructible.
I like the "little" Goliath tank..I move it over here...and when someone shoots it..It nearly blows up the whole map. XD
The cutscenes and movies in COH are incredible! If Relic studios had a movie on this, It'd be a hit seller. Especially on a 1080p HDTV. ^_^
CC3 is really fun too, a classic, Since I've been a fan of CC 3, it's pretty much the same, except with a different plot, better graphics. However, I like the gameplay more on CC generals zero hour, because I can tell the difference between tanks, infantry, etc. -
I like Red Alert 2 the most... The only thing i hate about generals is the way they collect resource and the annoying upgrade thingi... simple upgrade wont annoy me but upgrading each tank with a droid? That's way too much..
-
Sneaky_Chopsticks Notebook Deity
Hmm, Red Alert 2 had a better plot story... But, I like the unlocks in CC generals zero hour though.

Hmm, not really a Kamikaze GLA is the most powerful. For the USA, just get 1-3 Pathfinders Col. Burton and you can wipe out a whole base...except if you're going against humvees, gattling tanks, gattling cannons, and base defenses...
I don't like kamikazes. They're annoying. That's why I use EMP patriot missiles to take them out. -
USA is definatly the best in C&C generals.
I really like Tiberium Wars. The resource system is alot better. And you can also tell the difference between units. -
Sneaky_Chopsticks Notebook Deity
I have both games, personally, I like CoH cause it's much harder, and requires more strategey. CC3 is fun too, but not as hard as CoH
-
I wasn't comparing COH to TW. I've never played COH, but I have no doubt I'd like it, infact I should think of picking it up. I really do like a challenge (TW is pretty easy).
-
Sneaky_Chopsticks Notebook Deity
Lol, yeah, TW really was easy. I just didn't like that Nod part, where you get like only attack cycles or something, and you had to go against the GDI base.
You'd love COH. The cut scenes are amazing. The gameplay is even more fun than CC3
Company of Heroes or Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars
