I recently purchased CoH and Opposing Fronts from GoGamer.com for the cheap like $4 a piece.

I installed CoH, no problems until I got to patching it. Here's the link:
    http://cohpatch.relic.com/

As you can see CoH/CoH Opposing Fronts/Tales of Valor are broken up into three. I installed all the patches for CoH which according to the website goes to 2.101

Ok here's where the fun starts. I tried to install Opposing Fronts and it said it was already installed on my computer, HUH?

So now I uninstalled CoH and i'm reinstalling it. Any idea on how their patch scheme works?

I installed CoH without patching it. Then I tried to install CoH Opposing Fronts and it said it needed to uninstall CoH first. Wow talk about a weird setup seeing both are stand alone games.

CoH patches automatically when you log into your account with Relic while in the game menu. I wouldn't bother with the manual downloading and installing of patches.

    Install in order:
    CoH + OF + patches

You only need to install OF. The way this works is that each release contains the latest version of CoH at the time of its release. It's the CD keys that are important and unlock the content for each release of the game when you register on Relic Online.

After you have OF installed, I would recommend that you use the in-game patching mechanism at least until you finish downloading Relic Downloader since this is your first time. There's a chance that if you just install all the patches without installing Relic Downloader, that the game will glitch and continually prompt you to download the downloader before you can play.

You can get some info on the patching process here: http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?t=108081 as well as direct links to the patches.

Thanks guys that's what I need to do then setup an account. Question are the keys tied to the hardware and can I do upgrades without getting locked out? I'm not too keen with online activation.

I don't believe the keys are hardware dependent, and I don't think that upgrades will lock you out.

Well fellas I downloaded every patch from within the game. I created my Relic account online, registered both CoH and Opposing Fronts keys ala Blizzard and all I see is Opposing Fronts and Tales of Valor (Locked/must buy for the unlock) missions to appear.

There is still no way for me to access the original CoH missions.

In fact when I went to add a product i.e. CoH key it said it was already entered and assigned to my Relic account. Looks like i'm going to install each game on a separate drive. :p

edit: I only installed Opposing Fronts based on one of the responses.

Install Company of Heroes as well. Perhaps you can't access the content since you have the key but no content installed.

install coh then install OF. no patches in between, no running the game inbetween. and preferably offline i'd say. then run it online set up your account/patch it in whatever order it happens. and it should be alright.

What's weird is that if you install CoH first then install OF over it, it deletes the CoH registry entries and content from your hard drive.

I'll give a try maybe tomorrow, i've had enough with this ClusterF setup of CoH and OF, LOL. :D

OF is a standalone expansion pack. thats why its unusual.

I'm sorry it's not working for you. You really don't need to install vCoH first from my experience. If Relic Online said that your vCoH key was already assigned to your account (has to be the same account that you registered OF to), but it doesn't show up in your account details, I'd contact THQ about that. http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?t=168206

If they had allowed for customized installs i.e. allow to pick your choice of drive and location this might have been avoided.

Not your fault man unless your a secret programmer for Relic who feels guilty, LOL. :D

I emailed them on Friday so i'm waiting for a response. I think i'm just either going to install CoH then when I finish that install Opposing Fronts or just install CoH on one of my drives and install Opposing Fronts on another drive (multi-boot).
