Hey, I'm looking to play Company of Heroes on my desktop, but I think I might need to upgrade something. I have 1gb of RAM and NVIDIA Geforce 6100 integrated graphics. Do I need to upgrade something? Which?

Ouch. The 6100 will simply not cut it. It will work, but even on lowest settings it's going to be very choppy, sorry....new video card time, provided you have an AGP or pci-e slot.

You need to upgrade the video card for sure.

Yeah, your going to need to upgrade.

Look into getting a 7600 GT 256mb, they're cost around $125 and perform very, very well.

A 7600 is comparable, and at 1280x800 res at med settings I can run it pretty well (shadows off, that is so necessary). I notice it runs better w/ 1 gb vs. 2gb of ram

Thats a strange observation. I have 2gb in my machine and it runs far better then it did when I had 1.5gb.

Anyway, the X1600Pro will run it fine, although if you can find a 7600GT or even a GS for the same price, it will outperform it.

Yes, CoH uses more than 1GB of RAM I have. So I recommend 2 gigs..
