I just purchased the Compaq X6000 notebook and am yet to install any games onto it. I know it isnt the "greatest" machine to play games on, but has anyone in here had any experiences good or bad with playing games such as World of Warcraft, Half Life 2, etc. on it.
Thanks, Jay

The 256MB X600 should play those fine; very comfortably, in fact. I know World of Warcraft will run at native with all the settings turned up except for Anisotropic Filtering and Anti-Aliasing.
Should be able to get some very good performance out of Half-Life 2 as well. -
yea it actually should. Just leave it on medium though.

Thanks for the input. I'm not a notebook expert; I have had only minimal experience with them in my past, so bear with me please. If I was to purchase a new graphics card for my notebook, would I have to purchase a specific size or model to fit my laptop or are they all pretty much interchangeable. If anyone has any recommendations i would appreciate it.
Thanks alot -

The GPU is not interchangeable. You buy it, you're stuck with it for the life of the notebook. You can't get a new one. 99% of notebooks are this way.
