Compare: GeForce GT 555M 3GB with Optimus VS GeForce GT 555M 3GB with 3D Vision

I'm about to buy XPS 17!!!
BUT, I have to choose between:
    Option 1:
    - 60Hz FHD LED screen
    - Optimus technology
    - 3GB Memory (Of GPU card)
    Option 2:
    Or
    - 120Hz FHD LED screen
    - Nvidia 3D Vision
    - 3GB Memory (Of GPU card)

What is the best for gaming performances?

If you turn 3d off the performance will be the same. They are the same GPU. 3d Vision will take additional GPU power so when turned on you will see much lower FPS.

3D gaming is great, just don't expect to run new games at good settings.

Optimus may give you that extra battery time, but i heard it may also fail to realise you launch games ect. and keep them on the Intel IGP.
But with proper profiles set up i think its easily fixed.

Wish you great fortune with your notebook purchase,

Ok, so Optimus has no effect on FPS... and what about 3D? Is it so bad? -10% off FPS? 20%? 30%?

lol 10%. If only. More like 50% reduction in FPS with 3D content.

It really doesn`t matter which one you choose. Like mentioned they are both equal in performance. The difference is that you get cooler notebook and more battery life with Optimus, and the other option gives you no Optimus (less battery life) but the option to see movies and play games in 3D. And some say that the 120Hz screen is brighter than the 60Hz but it depends on the model. If you want to play the games on normal 2D like the other option, you can do that too.
