    511MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS

    NVIDIA Quadro NVS 110M

Systemreqlab scored the quadro at 4/9 on a visual bar. That is to say 3 for passing, one into minimum, but two away from recommended. How far would the other card bring that up in the same system if the card were the only lowering factor

Well the NVS 110 is based on the Go 7300 chipset, and the 8600 (GS or GT) is much better than the Go 7300.

The 8600M GS is the better graphics card. As fifafreak18 already mentioned, the Quadro 110M is a workstation graphics card, based on the Go 7300, which is a weak graphics card.

Don't know, but 8600m GS is about 3 to 4 times the card.

thanks. I'll make a thread later ( so I don't seem incessant ) asking anyone who has near the same system as I plan to buy, and the same card to run a test so I get a foretaste of the capacity

my dads dell has the NVS 110 and it runs Doom 3 at ultra detail (1280x1024) at least 20 fps, so its not bad, but if you want a much better gaming experience go with the 8600 GS

    =D

As a side question though anyone know if costco.com custom laptops come with the power cord? Its not listed as an option to choose, or the final synopsis. It'd suck to get here in a week and have 2 hour of life

On top of that Workstation cards are generally geared towards stability and accuracy versus speed.
