Is the BF2 Complete collection worth the extra $20? Or should I get the regular BF2 and get a laptop cooling pad?

The sf unlocks and scout copters alone make it worth 20 dollars

Dude, go to Buy.com and open a new Google checkout account, get free shipping, tax free, and $10 off with Google and its only like $29.
I did that method and preordered Halo 3 for a total of $44.

Special Forces is brilliant. Some excellent night fight maps that really were the biz, whatever the name of the one with the tiny village with the big church/old hospital at the top was, that was probably the best BF2 map I've ever played.

Yeah, it's really too bad how few servers still support special forces. "Night Flight" was awesome. The zipline and grappling hooks made for some very interesting gameplay alterations. Oh well, looks like it's back to vanilla BF2 :)

It's totally worth it. If you add it up, it turns out to be cheaper, rather than purchasing each Battlefield 2 series ( as in the Booster Bundle Pack, Special Forces, and the vanilla BF 2)

Ghost town, that was it!! Serious map. As for BF2142, I went out and loyally bought it upon release - didn't like it, in fact, hated it. But to be fair I gave it a chance, played for a few weeks - never got into it, could never like it, and went back to BF2. I loved BF1942 as well, just don't like the engine now, it feels too dated even compared to other games from the same time....there's something clunky about it. Can't WAIT until Forgotten hope comes out for BF2....
