    hey, i have a Toshiba laptop with vga and dvi outputs. i use the laptop to output videos/hd clips to different projectors, hdtv's etc.. how do i hook up the laptop to a HDTV or projector with only component video for HD inputs?

    You could try a DVI to component cable like this one.

    Not sure that will work its meant for dvd with component out to something with dvi in see last paragraph of description.

    These cables are not compatible with PC or Mac video card outputs unless specifically stated in your video card. They also do not support Y, Cr, Cb signals. If you're looking for a way to use your computer video output with your HDTV display, check out our VGA to HDTV Converter.

    yes, it will be used to hook up to an HDTV.. do you have a link to your converter?
