So I took the plunge recently and ordered a Malibal/Clevo with an i7-2630QM processor (2.0-2.9GHz) and Nvidia GTX 485 as recommended by certain people (I'm looking at you Malibal and elb) and also as I had intended in the beginning somewhat myself.

My question is how well will I be able to run stuff like Witcher 2.

I googled it and some kids (I don't know age really, I just classify everyone with horrible internet writing/typing as a kid [I dislike them]) had mentioned being recommended by the game to play on medium with a Nvidia GT 460 desktop GPU (which is apparently similar to the GTX 485?) and yet having little qualms going on ultra.
Are such two graphics cards really that similar & is that what I should be expecting should I get the game?

P.S. On stuff like Starcraft 2 & inc. Diablo 3 (woo, hopefully November this year), will I see performance blips? I realize my graphics card should be more than satisfactory but on the processor itself...I'm sorta regretting not getting the upgrade on it now. I just hear that it's not worth it to upgrade to 2720 unless you're into visual design or the upgrade is $100~, and the upgrade on Malibal was $160.

Apparently on S2 it's recommended that I have 2.4ghz+. I realize that's assuming dual core but if my knowledge is correct, such games do not/will not incorporate multi-coring yet. Should I be worried for S2/D3?

P.P.S. Oh, and one last question. Sorta off-topic, somewhat.
How nice is a wireless headset?
I mean, is it worth the extra $80~ dollars to upgrade from a normal wired headset?
I aim to be playing competitive games like DotA2/LoL/S2 as well as raiding/arenaing on WoW.

In regard to The Witcher 2: I think it is possible to play it at 1920x1080 with all ultra except the Ubersampling option with very reasonable framerates.

The 485 is a good deal more powerful than the 460.

On my 560m (similar to the 460m, about 30% less power than you have), I can play on 1080p with a hybrid between medium and high settings.

The 485M and 6970M can run TW2 on the Ultra preset, but turn off Ubersampling and SSAO.

On two cores, the 2630QM will boost to 2.8Ghz, so SC2 won't be an issue.

The Witcher 2 Ultra Preset enables AA and Vsync by default, both of which are unnecessary performance killers so you might want to disable those too.

Edit: I just went from large texture memory to very large and notice much smoother performance in this game so far.
