    i mean the game runs really good on my laptop as it is and looks amazing but ill get them spikes onces in a while online or off...

    Well there is a config for Gears that you can change some values yourself. For instance I managed to make the shadows look even better. There are a lot of variables to play around with. What you can to get rid of the spikes is to change OnlyStreamInTextures=False to True.

    Try upgrading to Vista 64 and add more ram, maybe?

    ok this is what I see in in your sig Gateway M-6864 FX 2.0 Ghz, 677 FSB 4GB DDR2 ATI mobility 2600 HD 200GB. Nothing bout Vista 64. This is the info under the text. The "sig" right?
