    8600m gt clock: 475/400

    can someone explain to me why i only get maxed 20 frames when running need for speed prostreet on 800x600 with semi-maxed graphic?????

    its ridiculous i cant believe this !! :confused:

    i can get 20+ frames on medium setting in crysis in 1024x768 and i have to bear with this 15 frames mini res stuff!!

    sorry for letting off some of my steam but would someone come up with a reasonable explanation???

    i think it could be:
    a. prostreet has bad engine
    b. i need some oc (by the way, is it wise to oc from 400 to 700 for ram? and do i have to flash?)

    1. ProStreet DOES have a *****y engine. (sorry, couldn't find a more appropriate word).
    2. Ensure that your drivers are upto date. :)

    Check to make sure your power plan in on "High Performance".
    Update your video card driver.

    Definitely DON'T overclock your RAM speed from 400 to 700; your computer will crash. See this guide for help on overclocking.

    (b) Drivers
    (c) ProStreet coding
    (d) no o/c

    O/C safely. I get 600 GPU / 500 Memory with similar setup as yours. Runs everything like butter so far (except Crysis where I have to sacrifice some eye candy).
