This shows the 3850 @ 450 not 550 for the GPU and 100MHZ drop on the memory as well..... or 20% slower..

If that is the case.. what will this get in 3dmark06 and what can I do about it if anything?

It will definately drop your score. It is an underclocked card. Simply download ATitool and overclock it to default values (it will run hotter).

I would suggest undervolting to compensate for the heat increase.

Just download 3DMark06 and run it yourself. You can never really predict 3DMark06 scores well simply from looking at the specs. Alternatively, look up the scores from other people who have the same model.

Undervolting a GPU requires editing the vBIOS and then flashing it. It is for very advanced users and not recommended unless you know what you're doing since you can easily brick your card and then you have to try blind flashing to fix it. I doubt that the OP would feel confident doing it by himself.

We learn by practice. You are certainly right in the fact that it is a more advanced task, but there are plenty of good guides right here on the forum.

To the OP, definately download 3dmark. I don't think a small overclock on an underclocked core is that dangerous so I would recommend it.

Some notebooks have their cards downclocked for heat concerns. Manufacturers don't feel obliged to notify us when they do it.

btw, that's a 150MHz drop on the memory.

The GT735 carries an underclocked ATI 3850, it's just not specified on the model's specifications. The computer is a bit bi-polar in the heating range, some are hot, some are cooler than Siberia. If you happened to get one of the cooler ones, overclock it, if you didn't, well... go look in the MSI forums for a solution I guess =/

Ya, just ordered it today or I would have downloaded 06 and gotten my own look. As far as Moi, the OP goes... I've volt modded a 9600 to a 9800 pro for those who remeber the L shape memory 9600/9800's. I also have a stable 3.2GB Athlon XP TBird using voltmod and a VapoChill case. Flashing the bios? Meh.. I'd dealt with worse, but to know that flashing a bios comes with reservations.. It's kinda like Nt4.0 you can do everything right and it can still go wrong.
