    Connetcing laptop to HDMI,works fine,but no DVD sound

    Ok.
    So i can successfuly connect my laptop to the hdmi cable and hdtv and get it to work. theres perfect picture and perfect sound. at first there was no sound, but i just had to change a sound setting on my laptop to play hdmi sound, or whatever.
    BUT,
    when i play a dvd, all i get is this sparatic/stuttering static sound.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
