I had the same problem too, I forgot how I fixed it but it has to do with the drivers (I think.) for the keyboard. I had to get a slightly older version to work.

Ok lots of ppl are telling me to do this

But before I do, I want to make sure:
    1) It WILL reinstall itself each time I boot up?
    2) Uninstalling it will NOT mess up ANYTHING on my computer?

I have vista 64 bit btw

Well unless your using an infrared remote its not doing anything for you. If you are then you would have to reinstall it when you want to use it.

I uninstalled mine (this is how I got mine to work) and I never had to uninstall it every time after a reboot.

Under Device Manager, do you have Xxxx 109 keyboard installed?

Everytime I played fallout, I had to delete the 109 keyboard under device manager. Don't worry about it, it'll reinstall itself after reboot w/o you even noticing.
