    Hi again!

I have been reading a lot on this matter, but I can't seem to find an answer to what I want to know.

Is it possible to soft-mod a Radeon into a FireGL or a GeForce into a Quadro?

For example the Lenovo T500 and W500 have the same GPU, with different drivers. Is it possible to make the 3650HD inside the T500 to perform like the professional sibling FireGl V5700?

I read the other day it was possible to make the V5700 perform like a 3650HD, but is it possible to go backwards?

And on the nVIDIA, the 9700M GTS is the same as the Quadro FX 2700M, with different drivers. Is it possible to make a 9700M perform like a Quadro?

Is there any way to do this? Consumer GPU perform like professional GPU with CAD-optimized drivers?

    Thanks in advance!

actually the Quadro 2700M is the pro version of the 9700M GTS.

the 9700M GT only has a 128-bit mem interface while the 9700M GTS has a 256-bit interface.... huge difference there.

soft mods from geforce/radeon to quadro/firegl has not been around since the Geforce 6 days.

So, there is no way a soft-mod can be made nowadays?
