About every 8 seconds there is a noticible lag on any of my games, regardless of gpu demands. Ie deadspace, mass effect, sims 3, all batmans, etc. Any fix?
Also, its worth noting that when its not lagging its sticking around 30~40 fps,

So that would account for the intervals of lag? The only "fix" I have is restarting the game.

i have no idea what could cause the lag as ive never used the intel for gaming on my clevo laptop as it auto switches to my 680gtx.

it could be a driver problem but im no expert on intel so not 100% sure.

Take a look at the temps and clock fluctuations.

It could be simply that suddenly the clocks move down and you get that lag

On my (much older) laptop which has an Intel HD GPU, there's an option in the BIOS to specify whether the CPU or GPU gets priority for Turbo boost. Maybe try check if an option like that is hanging around somewhere.

Actually im using the lenovo g510 i7 edition. To my knowledge this laptop is at a constent turboclock as soon as it is plugged to compensate the fact that it cannot turboclock on battery alone. It stays at a constent 3.4 clockspeed when pluged in. Maybe it is unable to keep it at a constent turboclock speed for so long.

But thanks il look into the bios settings to see if that is the culprit.
