Whats the difference between a 3.0Ghz E8400 core 2 duo processor and a P8400 2.26Ghz core 2 duo, aside from the Ghz? Which one is better?

The E8400 is a desktop processor and much faster than the P8400 however it also uses much more power. They're also not compatible.

The E series is a desktop part and the P series is mobile so they're not comparable, despite the similar numbers.
