So I'm just about ready to lay down the green but I don't want to spend the 3500-4500 only to find out that if I had just waited two-three weeks I'd get the system I really wanted.

From what I've seen SLI is not available in a Core 2 Duo configuration due to some chipset issues (don't know if santa rosa is that answer). My dream machine would be a 19" 1920x1200 Core 2 Duo with 7900gtx in SLI. Yeah I know... it doesn't exist. But is there any rumors of a soon to be Core 2/SLI solution for the mobile market?
