    Hey,
I am experiencing this weird fps issue as stated in the title, the fps is locked constantly at 50 fps. I used both the ingame fps counter and fraps to measure, the ingame one skips really fast, i could barely make out a only the first number, so I concluded that it jumps between 40,50,and sometimes 60; however, using Fraps which is slower in terms of measurement refreshing rate, I discovered that the fps is locked at 50 fps. (The ingame one refreshes way too fast). At first without fraps I thought the problem was due to lcd limit of 60 frames/second but after looking at fraps and the 8600m gt screenshot thread here at NBR. :) The ss had 100 Frap displayed, I am confused.Anyways, does anyone knows how to fix this?

EDIT: I have tried using console fps_modem and fps_max to limit the fps higher but they don't seem to work.

Btw, the sig spec is a long story, well it's a vostro 1500, C2D 1.6, and 8600m GT. I quit CS for a while and just tonite decided to come back to it again, but got this problem at hand now. =P

EDIT2: I Fixed it, Nvidia Control Panel Vsyn needs to be forced off, sorry guys wasted forum space.

Ya, VSYNC restricts fps from going higher. My desktop always shows a constant 99 FPS it's nice. Have fun fragging
