Anyone other fellow Counter Strike: Source players here? I'm in the MҲ clan, my alias is Team MҲ | Nightfalcon. I've not played for ages, just downloading Source now and going to be playing full-time. Wondered if anyone would like to be friends with me or be interested in the clan. We're based at www.afterbuy.co.uk. The leader of the clan is Moggie :D

I just got back into it after taking a break for nearly half a decade. :D Man, everyone sure got good in the last few years! I can't last a minute, it seems like every time I turn a corner, I go down from a head shot.

I used to be pretty decent back in the day too!

As a CS and CS:S veteran, I can tell you that over the years, people have gotten worse not better. People now have found a way to cheat without ever getting banned in CS:S because of the game's great ability to be modified. Roughly about 70+% of players have transparent skins for every wall in CS:S because you CANNOT be banned for using one as it's considered a SKIN, and not a HACK. I've even got about 50% of people in my own server who I suspected of using one to admit to it. That's several HUNDREDS of people!

If you play CS:S, make shure that the server is running an extra anti hacker mod, and has "sv_pure 3" to turn off all skins, even CAL is infested with hackers/cheaters these days..

[edit] btw, I didn't play with Xfire on in 2004-2006 so my CS:S hours actually total over 7000 easily, I used to be about as addicted to CS:S as a WoW player is to WoW.

I don't mean to question this, but how old are you? That comment seems like something that I would hear from a 13 year old kid who actually does use this cheat that I described.

You can question it, but it's truth, and no, I'm not just saying this because I suck at CS:S, I am infact the leader of multiple clans, and my CS:S clan has never lost a scrim to date, and it's been running for about a year now.

It's actually quite easy for me to spot, such as people accidentally prefiring Yes there are alot of occasions where you will spectate someone throughout an entire map, they wont fire a shot, then stop right near a corner where they see the person on the other side, line up a shot, then accidentally fire long before the person even comes near the corner. It's extremely obvious when people do this with AWPs in places where a person would not normally walk past.

Test it yourself!! If you suspect someone is cheating, trick them into prefiring. act like your going to go around a corner, then stop, back up, then run forward again stopping at the end of the corner but not letting anyone on the other end see any part of you. if they fire, especially with an AWP from a long distance, than it's an extremely high chance that they're cheating..

Wow, are you 4 years old?

To the OP, I used to play CSS a lot (I'm in the UK) but now that COD4 has come out, I prefer to play that.

CSS is still amazing though, like every other game released by Valve. The Source engine rules! I can't wait for Half Life 2: Episode 3 to come out.

I've played CS and CS:S for quite awhile. I generally play on the Adult Swim Clan server (Clan name, not affiliated with the CN night time). I have several friends in that clan, although I am not a part of it, and it is a joy to play on their server. The peope are nice, I haven't seen any blatant hackers in a long while now, and if there is an admin on (pretty much all of the time) and you suspect a hacker, you can get him kicked on the spot if you have the admit check it out and banned if he is a repeat offender.

CS:S is best if you can find a few servers to call home. Otherwise it just feels so cold and lonely.

Here is the server I was talking about: 207.210.237.34:27015

If I am on, I'm usually under the name Grant_Captain{storm}.

    Good luck!

i play on the Jedi's Loft Server, good rotation of custom maps and regular maps. good place to be, everyone is nice, admins are great, no swearing, and if there is a hacker there is usually an admin on all the time since they have quite a lot.

come check it out, i'll be there:

I'm a CS:S veteran myself. I quit because partly because of the hacking and partly because I bought BF2. BF2 is much more fun to play as a group.
VAC isn't that good. Last couple of times I played the game I had the feeling I was the only one that didn't have aimbot.
