Ok I got my usb mic/headset so that I can talk. The game sounds come out of the computer speakers like I want them to but so does other peoples voices. How do I get my headset so that I can hear others mics in my headset but have only the game sounds come out of the computer speakers?

Do you mean in game voice, or a separate voice program like Ventrilo? What operating system are you running?
AFAIK this is not possible. -
That will not work. The game and voice sounds are overplayed. You can use a mic and speakers, or full headset, but you cannot separate them. I turn down the voice volume and amp up the environmental sounds...helps a bit more than listening to useless chatter in the pubs. Don't forget to join the NBR community on Steam. Good luck.
BTW: You may want to change "mike" to "mic"
Edit: A 3rd party app such as Hep!'s reference would work, but I assume you are not using this for pubs. -

pubs?
and no, this has been a long standing issue with source games. voice and game sound are locked together. -
Sorry, public servers. Just some l33t lingo from in-game, haha.
