Is CS GO very cpu hungry because I noticed my GTX 660m temps on my G55 goes as high as 88-90c after around 20-30 minutes of gaming and it stays there. I don't notice any loud fans or heating or throttling, but i'm just wondering if this is normal.
The same situation on my m14x r2 gt 650m and the cpu temps will shoot up to mid 80s celcius when firing up CS GO.
Now the thing that confuses me is that when i play BF3 and Crysis 2 for 2-3 hours at a time, my cpu temps on my G55 is around 75-78c and around 75-77c on m14x r2 but when i play CS GO, they all shoot up to 88-90c so I know it's not the cpu that is causing it.
Is anyone here with their laptops playing CS Go getting late 80s early 90s temps on their Ivy Bridge CPUs? Mine is i7-3610QM

Yes I have this problem and valve hasn't acknowledged it. I have a 2760 and get about 87 on one core. But other games are 70s. So it's definitely the game but I wouldn't worry too much.

Source games are CPU hungry, they always make my CPU run hot: i7-2630QM; mid 80s

Like moviemarketing, I also didn't check the temps, but on my 3610qm and 670m the game is working on a full multiplayer on 1080p and all maxed out, with 150fps at least.
