Hey guys, as some of you may know, to crouch in CS you have to press 'Ctrl'. Now that's fine and dandy but it's a real pain in the butt when I'm playing on my T60p because the 'Fn' key takes the usual place of the 'Ctrl' key. Does anybody know how I can bind the 'Fn' key to crouch instead of 'Ctrl'? Thanks in advance.

I'm afraid you can't rebind the FN key - it isn't a standard software key like Ctrl or Shift, it overrides the other keys in hardware to allow you to access special hardware functions - hence why "FN + F7" or some equivalent will still turn down your brightness in Linux or even sitting in the BIOS.

You could always bind your crouch button to shift :p

Instead of trying to take apart my keybord figuring out how to move ctrl, I just moved my finger

Why not bind it to a mouse button if you haven't used them up already?

For what it's worth, if you use your ThinkPad semi-exclusively, you do get used to the Ctrl/Fn switch. In fact, as you might expect, the traditional placement will strike you as strange if you go back to it. That being said, I think it was nothing short of an idiotic choice on Lenovo's part, and I do prefer the traditional placement. You will get the hang of it, though.
