Counter-Strike:Source tactics

Hey guys. What tactics do you use on CSS? Sure, it depends on the map, but I don't have any chance against people who get a headshot as soon as they spot you

 

well besides the idea that maybe those people are cheating, an easy way to gain accuracy is to make your crosshair much smaller by typing in cl_crosshairscale25000 on your console... that whelped me a lot

 

i recommend that you aim for the head and shoot people there immediately after spotting them. (in order to counteract people shooting you in the head immediately after spotting you)

 

as well as those mentioned above...

as a ct on a "de_" map, camp a bombsite and dont rush unless the whole team is rushing

as a ct on a "cs_" map, rush always, cause camping can get you in trouble cause it will make ppl mad

as a t on a "de_" map rush dont camp

I usually start out simple, maybe something like "You live in your parents basement" or "At least I have a girlfriend" then move on to more complex griefing. The important thing to remember is to get the victim talking. The more you know about your enemy, the more avenues you have to exploit.

 

1. Bind "crouch" to a key that is easy to access like shift.

2. Don't afraid to rush or take a peak to take a couple of shots at a guy, its unexpected.

3. Always buy full body armor before anything else.

 

Shoot while strafing! Don't shoot while walking! Stop, aim, shoot to the head! After a while it'll be reflex getting headshots! As ct on de_ maps just camp. Don't spray unless you can control it and good at it, most people can't. Therefore just use single shot or bursts of 2! It's all about experiencE!

 

Unfortunately, the only thing that resembles tactics in counter strike is to shoot them before they shoot you.

 

Well, in real life combat, that's how it's supposed to be.. Shoot before they see you. XD lol

 

But in real life, you also have realism to worry about.

 

I've found that it's important to dodge and strafe a lot, and always try to aim for the head, but if it isn't practical, hit them wherver you can, you don't have much health in CS (compared to say, UT). Or you can just buy the AWP, which removes the need to aim or get close or use strategy - foot shots are one-shot kills.
