This is the CPU in my specs and it sucks, on 3dmark06 it gets like 1650 points and it bottlenecks me badly in many cases. I do however think this is the second best CPU my laptop supports and the only one which is better is ZM-86 which runs at 2,4 Ghz.

Is this true or is there a better CPU out there for me?

isn't there a ZM-88? But seriuously , ur better off selling this rather than upgrading.. finding AMD CPU's is quite hard because few laptops have it.

If you want to keep your laptop, purchase a Vidock or make one. I have an older 15inch MacBook Pro with the Nvidia 8600M GT with 512Mb of GDDR3 memory and since the laptop runs fine and has a Expresscard slot, I plan on keeping it. Then hopefully if the MSI GUS comes out, I plan on purchasing one of that and using it on my MacBook Pro for home gaming. It may only be considered a low mid-range card now, but my belief is that the Nvidia 8600M GT is good enough for the occasional notebook gaming if I need to travel. God Bless :)

Completely wrong response. He's asking for CPU, not GPU.

1650 isn't that bad for cpu score in 3dmark06, should be a bit weaker than a 2Ghz intel dual core. But seriously it shouldn't bottleneck you in most games except for a few cpu-heavy games(GTA4, etc), plus the fact it's paired with a mid-range GPU, which will bottleneck you in most games WAY before your cpu does.

If you want more performance, overclocking your GPU will always yield better result than overclocking your CPU. You can even do both if you are bold enough, no idea how to overclock a Turionx2 though.

I see, i am quite happy with my laptop performance. I get good frames but the CPU is clearly bottlenecking me in strategy games

Now i am however playing Fallout 3 at high setting with great FPS :)

Actually i just want a CPU upgrade to get better 3dmark score :D cuz there my CPU is killing me. So far i OC my card from 550/700 to 630/850 runs very stable 75 degress under heavy load

Maby You should consider overclocking cpu with setfsb. I dont know exact pll for your toshiba but i found that for a355 series with amd cpu its silego SLG8SP626V. You have nothing to loose, download setfsb and try diagnose your pll.

If it reports all clocks correct it might be the correct one. If it does not work you are at least in the correct family so try a different in same family.

I dont know if its correct pll, because i couldnt find any information which will confirm that. But like i said in A355 family is used silego one and companies often use that same chips in the laptops.
