    Hello,
I have owned my Hp dv6000t with a go7400 for a while now, and have been battling a crash/freeze issue with virutally every game I have installed on it. Each time, the error messages or symptoms always point to the graphics card. I have messed around with virtually every setting, tried loads of various drivers, made sure nothing is running in the background, used it on a nice cooling pad, never overclocked/overvolted/undervolted, etc, and I still get these issues every so often. I have talked to a couple of other people who own a similar setup, and they seem to not have such a problem.
I kind of wonder if I just recieved a computer with an unusually unstable graphics card. Since these issues seem kind of similar to somebody who has undervolted a component too much, I was wondering if slightly overvolting mine would improve stability. Would you recommend this, and if so, how would I go about doing it? Thank you for any suggestions.

Sorry for taking so long to reply, I did not get much of a chance throughout the weekend. Some of the games I have had issues with are Battlefield 2, Command and Conquer 3, Half Life 2, World in Conflict, and Unreal Tournament 3 to name a few. Temperature wise, I have not been able to find a program to accurately measure my graphics card temp itself, but I have RMclock and the cpu core sits pretty cool at around 40-50c.

*Edit* I remember one time sitting my laptop directly on top of one of our air conditioning vents to ensure it was not a heating issue. Core temp never went above 20c under load, still had issues.

Battle field 2 and half life should be fine for your gpu but I think command and conquer 3, world in conflict and unreal tournament 3 are way to much for your 7400 to handle. Its weaker than the 8400GS and the 8400 GS is like bare minim for gaming. Try lowering your settings if that does not help I think you just have to weak of a gpu.

Unreal Tournament 3 I agree with, but as far as the others go, there have been others that run them with no problems. Granted, they do not run at anything remotely close to high settings, (as I do not either) but they do not get crash issues. <shrug>
