So you can take advantage of the $1 any playpass game on the service. I have many questions and concerns about people who passed up Batman AA for 99 cents the other week, but now is your chance to redeem yourself.

This was a promo on OnLive's Facebook page to get another 10k likes; it happened so now they are emailing all registered users a code for a $1 game of their choice.

Current games on the service which would be best to use the coupon on are:
    • Deus Ex: Human Revolution
    • Warhammer 40k: Space Marines
    • F.E.A.R. 3
    • Duke Nukem Forever
    • Homefront
    • Assassin's Creed Brotherhood
    • Orcs Must Die

Accounts are free, and the PC/Mac client is an extremely small program.

Question: is playpass the streaming service or the download service (or do they even offer game downloads)? Whichever one it is, is it available outside of the US if you subscribe with US credentials and a US card?

OnLive is a streaming service only. They offer games for purchase (which they refer to as a playpass), and they also offer a $10/month subscription to a pack of games called "The Playpack". Playpack titles consist of games that are a few years old and indie titles, as well as some multiplayer portion of some games like Homefront.

The current offer for $1 is for a Playpass game, so there is no subscription required.

They offer free demos on most every game on the service, so create an account and try the service out.

As far as outside of US: The service is only officially in the US and UK/Europe. The US servers do require a Credit Card or Visa/MC Debit card for purchases (no Paypal). I think the Euro servers are the same. I know there are plenty of people in Canada and Mexico that play on the service. Even Euros were playing on US servers before the service launched there.
