    Fraps? Rivatuner?

Both can give you accurate FPS readings and I know you're plenty familiar with Rivatuner.

The command you are looking for is "r_displayinfo 1" in the console. No quotes, but that's a given.

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but it might work.
    "Display Your Frame Rate In-game

Obviously, Crysis is an incredibly demanding game. You can allow the game to analyze your hardware to automatically opimize the best detail for performance, or you can hand tweak it. If you're like me, you prefer to do it manually. Here's how:

    1. Enter console mode (hit the ~ on your keyboard)
    2. Type in the following and hit return "r_displayinfo = 1" (no quotes)
    3. Hit the ~ again to exit console mode
    4. You will now see your frame rate and other info on the upper right part of your screen"

I don't have Crysis so I've never tried it to see if it works.
