Crysis : The Resort : is amazing!!!

Yeah, it's a real pity that when I use your config for this level, the mountains shift in and out really unusually, because of the low draw distance, and the water isn't normal.

I think your joshing me, I dont get any of your issues Iv;e got videos on to diff machines 1 ati machine one nvidia machine, neither have issues. Configs dont alter the game that much. ive had problems with my gta configs though.

look at the pic below and you will see the performance issues



that is on high everything with my config. Problem is drawdistance is kinda crap. I cant see the buildings in front of me so its not worth the extra 20 fps?

I'm not using your high end config, I'm using the lower end one, the one where the water in Crysis looks really messed up. Would you like me to post a screenshot?

I got messed up water without the crysis 1.2 patch. post the config your using then a picture.

why didnt you ask me to make you a personal custom config. kinda pro

ask me to make you a config and ill make you one in like 4 seconds. I used to have a 2600 and I know what settings work

Yeah, that's what I've decided to do. It's a waste of time trying to troubleshoot random problems that come up, and the FPS is quite low as well, although for the visuals you get it's pretty good.

 

dont bother with that config.

use any config but that one then. I made about 5 configs.

that config was made for warhead, the newest works with all versions

heres a pic of medium level 1 water.



no issues, and good performance with high shaders.

also

CZ try EECC FINAL. It has a perfect IQ to performance balance that you cant get with iin game settings.

see if that fixes your issues.

I would like to fix the gta IV config, but I dont know of a way to gain performance without dropping the drawdistance down below ingame levels. At least my config is an option for people that cant run gta IV or crysis very well but want high details and playable framerates.

 

Wow, i had played the resort about 8 months ago and the quality has massively improved! will have awesome screenshots up soon

You get a good idea of the nature on this level even if the Quality gets dropped a ton from it's .avi format.

 

But you have about ten configs, and they are pretty much all the same. And by the way, which most recent one do you mean, the high end one or the low end one? I am using the latest low end one and it's exactly the same as what I have already been using for ages.

I like how others who played show screenshots of mayhem with this.

I'm a wuss. I crawl around everywhere cloaked. I use binoculars constantly to put the enemies on the minimap. I cloak and see where each enemy is, I look for dark area with good cover. I crouch over there, then prone. Let the cloak recharge, I crouch and aim and fire, release crouch and immediately proned. Wait for an enemy to check it out, bam, prone again.

I got shot maybe half dozen times. I used the korean assault rifle and Skar with sniper scope, silencer and firing mode to single shot. I found using the sniper rifle gives my position away, the AI often are facing the opposite way when I shoot them. It's very funny.

Now I did get shot at the very end.

I aimed and shot the first guy. Looked to the left quick and shot the dude with the mini-gun. Used sprint, sprinted up the hill, shot the two guys along the way. And then I just used armor and sprinted to the parachute. I got shot a few times by whoever was behind me.

 

Personally myself, I liked Crysis the resort a tiny bit better and especially the multi-player. No one is saying Crysis has the best animations, but the visuals is still the best, and the physics are one of the best. I would say that Crysis is still the PC benchmark to go by for hardware, but considering that it's been out for so long.

 

that looks amazing, hard to believe how good crysis looks 4 years later. nothing can touch it yet

 

I just played The Resort a second time again.

The AI is really dumb on this map. I had no problems using the 71 with sniper scope and silencer, using maximum strength and just shoot them. The AI watches someone die and just stands there....

Anyways used eazy's config file with the realifeses mod and Chaos6 particle mod.

I was able to play at very high settings with no bloom, blur disabled @ 1600*900 with about 35-40 FPS steady all the time, even with action.

Playing from 1920*1080 and 1600*900 performance difference is massive.
