why? It's already on sale for those who already have the original game! Up to 50% off! Which is $20! *sarcasm*

But yeah hopefully a similar complete or GOTY for other games like ME3 or BF3 will come out eventually.

Thanks for the heads up, too bad I'm at work and can't check myself. And now I'm wondering if BF3 will make a come back too; still need to pick up both of those games.

Guess it might be a very slim chance BF3 might appear once all the DLC has been released and the game has entered life support on the multiplayer.
Dont think that many players are online on Crysis 2 and the ones with DLC maps, even lower.

BF3 requires a web browser plugin to play. I don't think it would be a good fit for steam.

Yeah..EA is really a pain in the with Origin. Other than that they are a well build company. I personally do not trust Origin, and many other like me do not choose to buy from them with what the propose in their ToA, THIS is the only thing holding me back from buying BF3.

their EULA and ToS are very similar to that of Steam. there were concerns in the beginning that Origin accesses things on one's hard drive that it's not supposed to, especially given its initial ToS. EA has since revised the ToS and claims that Origin does not collect any information it's not supposed to know. however, if you're paranoid (like me), install it in a sandbox (i use Sandboxie) to limit its access to everything else other than that particular sandbox. i've been playing FIFA 12 and Battlefield 3 (both installed in the same sandbox as Origin) since their release date without any problems.

Origin is fine, runs great and yet to crash on my notebook.
    Downloading is fast too.
EA might learn a thing or too from Valve on how nice the Steam Backup feature works.

Now the early days of EA Downloader?
    Hell on earth.

Did they remove the DRM this time? If not, no sale.

Looks like if you bought Crysis 2 from Amazon you get 20$ promotional credit towards the Maximum Edition which takes it down to 19,99$ from 39,99$.

Not sure if it activates on Steam or Origin, nothing is specified.

    Steam is DRM...

I love Steam to death, but it's still DRM, so I'm a bit confused with your question.

Probably able to activate it on Origin.
Only Steamworks enabled games activate on Steam.

^what DEagleson said. If those EA games can be redeemed on steam they would sell like hot cake.

Yes you're right. I simply meant the DRM that EA implemented. Limited activations/requiring online activation, along with Securom.
