    Coooool.

I wonder how this stuff affects performance. Will the high res texture pack show any noticeable differences at 720p?

I can confirm this. I just loaded Crysis 2 from Origin, and it is downloading and installing the patch now.

    Lets hope it looks good.

Reinstalling Crysis 2 just to see if the eye candy makes me want to run the singleplayer again.
    (Hopefully less bugs too.)

My ISP just recently upgraded all plans with no extra charge so im downloading it from Origin at 3,7mb/s.
Not even maximizing the line. :3

I just applied all the patches and decided to give it a run. I was using my alienware m17x r2 in my sig...and Here's basically what I found:

It will run on "Ultimate" DX11 1920x1200 with no GPU overclock at all at about 25 FPS.

If I change everything from "ultimate" down to "extreme" (one step down..and I can't tell the difference) and keep DX11 on it pulls a respectable 45 FPS average w/ no overclock. Not too shabby!

Point of all this? It does take quite a hit running DX11 making crysis 2 look just as good if not better than crysis 1 in my opinion. FYI- I'm digging the tessellation! :)
