Well when i tried it, it just looked like gamer with a bigger FOV and the blurry effect that i despise. I think gamer looks fine, i might just change the FOV to make it look like crysis 1 and disable the crosshairs.

Gamer is the name of a preset for Crysis, with all the graphics changed to high levels. There are multiple presets, I can't remember what they all are and what order they go in, though.

Didn't read what patch 1.2 does? Part of the anti-cheat, Crysis 2 you can't modify the settings. All settings are now read directly from PAK files. Surprised you haven't noticed that. Unpacking the PAK files to make the changes won't work either. Has to be exact.

In this case, I think he meant "gamer" as "high" settings in Crysis 2.
There are 3 pre-sets : High aka Gamer, Very high aka Advanced, Extreme aka I don't remember lol.

Yep, the crazy things is though that there is no difference between the 3 pre sets beside the FPS dips. Gamer looks best to me, the sun is realistically bright, and there is no blurriness like in the highest setting. Gamer looks best IMHO.

I agree rot, the difference between each presets is neglible. Especially between Very High and Extreme. Though with Crysis 1 it was a huge difference.

I'd say low, medium and high, being Gamer, Advanced and Hardcore.

more like high very high and extreme. I played mostly on gamer and to be frank it was good. On Advanced , i had 20fps drop to 30-40fps but it look pretty similar. On Hardcore , i didn't even bother. I had 20-25fps.

Yep, guess im not the only one. All the presets look the same, just that the blurriness increases. -.- epic fail.

Tried Crysis 2 (v1.2) on my notebook, had no problems squeezing out playable framerates at 1920x1080 on Extreme preset.
But like rot112 said, the added blur and stuff makes the game look bad.
Its like when playing Crysis 1 with Maximum Motion Blur. xD

Its not just the blur, its the fuzziness that covers the entire screen on the highest preset. That's the only noticeable difference.

The first game i have ever played where the lowest setting is the best looking one.

Yes I have already uninstall-ed the game. Terrible.Terrible. Def not a crysis game, so bad. It has that fuzzy, craptastic texture quality much like mafia 2. The game is just so bland. Like sitting in your own backyard playing with a cardboard box.
