Yea, that trailer looks cool! Hopefully they balance the game well because some of the mods look really powerful.

What justification will the pirates come up with now for pirating the beta build? Anyways, cool.

Maybe a full version with all maps demo compared to 2 maps MP demo?

Still, pirates are weak and no lifers. Who can afford is fair, just like me. ( not always tho, and by that, I mean fair people not always can afford ). I hate pirating, and I will be ALWAYS honest.

Wonderful, 12 player multiplayer with no vehicles! That is EXACTLY what I want in my PC gaming experience, because there aren't enough COD clones out there already...

Why is it that this multiplayer seems to be a step backwards in every way from crysis 1 except in terms of gimmicky console oriented actions (like sliding on one's back). Crysis 1 had fairly original MP with tanks that launched nukes and non global ranks. This is just Call of Duty with cloaks.

Nope, for PC, it's 8v8 (16 players, not 12 like in consoles).

Oh wow, how generous of them!
Now it is only HALF the number in the original game...

Will try it out for sure, but I agree that lately these multiplayer mods focus on such a small amount of players.... seriously 8v8 or 6v6? sigh....

But well, I liked crysis so I will give 2 a try.

TBH, Crysis MP has always sucked, no matter the player count. If less players means a better MP experience, then I'm all for it.

Maybe they want people to focus more on teamwork? With a large team size it's often easy to go lone wolf without any consequences.

I will admit that Crysis MP was broken in so many ways I can't even count: unbalanced vehicles, weapons (and patches that just made them unbalanced in different ways), bad optimization, incredibly large differences in player skill (there were a handful of players who were literally impossible to kill, but were not cheating), rampant cheats of all kinds, and constant server crashes. I was an Admin of a 32 player Crysis MP server and it was a complete nightmare. Punkbuster caused it to crash about once a day because of an issue that they knew about but never really fixed to my knowledge, but without PB there were people flying all over the map, spawning tons of C4 and launching nukes out of pistols.
I just don't really like the trend for all games to forsake all originality and just flat out copy Call of Duty (with some of their own gimmicks added).
On good crysis servers there would be people employing some teamwork to defend prototype factories, but it really takes a robust squad system like that in BF2/2142 for large teams to have significant teamwork. I hope BF3 delivers on that front...

I just hope I can fly VTOL's and Heli's and drive tanks and stuff in the final version.. that's basically all I'm concerned about considering Crysis 2's multiplayer. Crysis Wars is amazing thanks in part to the range of vehicles, only big thing that game has going against it is rampant hacking.

Without the cheaters Crysis Wars is IMO the best online FPS bar none. I run my own modded Crysis Wars server using a self modified version of SSM AegisX2, cheats don't last more than a minute or two there before they are discovered and banned and I rarely ever get cheats in there anymore, it's clean.

I just hope Crysis 2 MP can be equal to or better than Wars and for me that will need to at least include all the vehicles Wars has. If these kinds of vehicles are not present/usable, I will be extremely disappointed and continue to stick to Crysis Wars until a suitable replacement comes out.

From what I have heard, it doesn't seem that it will have vehicles; they decided to go for the industry standard COD clone multiplayer instead of the more creative objective based vehicular combat they had before.

Looks like Battkefield will be dominating the mp field.
It is giving us new features in new releases where others are going backward.

Can you please tell me, what's is so special about RO2? Why is everyone claiming RO2 as the best FPS ever? Can you please explain it to me?

Also, BF3 is on my top list this year, along with Uncharted 3. Damn, jets and 64 players... What else do you want? :D

RO2 pretty much is aiming to be the most realistic multiplayer FPS ever made, at least at the scale it's going for. The way these features are implemented make it very different from the standard CoD type FPS combat we've seen since CoD2.

I really want to pull out an MG42 and go to town LOL.

RO2 is probably going to be so realistic, only the most hardcore FPS fans will play it. The rest of us will get annoyed after dieing every two seconds.

Can't expect everyone to love or hate it. They are obviously pining for the hardcore crowd who like realism. Like I said, I can't wait to get on an MG42. CoD: WaW's implementation of the weapon was unrealistic in how you could run around with it and not have to worry about recoil. The Forgotten Hope 2 mod for Battlefield 2 just plain doesn't let you hip fire, you can only use it from the prone position (though this is still my favorite game or whatever with the weapon!) which leaves you absolutely stranded if an enemy gets close to you while your running. Drives me bonkers at times, because there were instances in real life of German soldiers hip and shoulder firing it (same with the MG3, look it up on Youtube). No where near as accurate and effective as in prone, but it could be done.

Whether RO2, lets me hip fire or not, I expect it to have the best MG42 (and MG34) action yet in a game, hopefully with adjustable sights, barrel changes too.

Which is fine if you enjoy that sort of restrictive and "realistic" gameplay. I personally don't. :)
