Anyone else here play in Stereo 3d with the Nvidia Shutter Glasses?

I noticed that I get almost 0 fps drop when turning to stereo 3d, which I must give Crytek big Kudos for. The game looks STUNNING in stereo 3d on my 120inch projector display.

Here is the gameplay Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNc7yrlEPJc&feature=channel_video_title

I haven't played that much yet, but so far the stereo 3d really shined in the cinematic scenes when you are getting tossed down buildings and things blow up around you with all the rubble flying around you. Skyscrapers look insane and rooftop levels are almost Acrophobia inducing :p

Plus having the game run as smoothly as in non-stereo 3d makes it extremely realistic at 45-60 fps average. No other modern game I have runs this smooth in stereo 3d mode, big props to Crytek for making such an optimized Nvidia 3d mode available to run on a Laptop with the specs below.

I'm not even overclocking my CPU right now because of heat issues with a cheap thermal paste I bought a few days ago, I am waiting for my order of 24 Carat ICD7 ;)

It's not Nvidia 3D tech first off. It's CryTek's own stereoscopic implementation. And the reason why it runs so well is because it's fake of fake 3D, which is hilarious to say. It's a gimmick of 3D gimmick, haha, still hilarious.

If you want to read about it, you can, there are plenty of articles on it.

Fake 3d or not it looks very good, wish every game had it as an option... just checked framerates with Fraps and it only drops 2-5 fps from original... amazing. I'm going to post a video on Youtube in a sec.

Andros, great video. What resolution are you using to play it so smooth?

Thanks and I am playing @ 1280x720, the native resolution of my projector and the only setting I get 120hz refresh rate in :)

Great. Im able to hit 70fps with my xps in sig on extreme (no tweaks, vanilla) if i run it @ 1280x720 in SLI. The average stays around 45-50.
At native res (extreme,1200p) im able to average 35fps.
Either way the game runs great and im pleased, great video again ;)

Id be excited if I had a pair of head mounted display glasses, that emulated 100" 1080p screen from less then 6 feet, that would be way more impressive. I hope sony releases atleast the 720p model this year.
