there should be a link to the crytek forum in your email that has a hidden section just for alpha players. its blocked at my hospital so i cant go on it.

think of us poor sods that are having to work. hope its looking good so far.

 

Yeah, most of it. Lens flares have improved much though! With Enduro OFF and the latest CCC 12.11 Beta4 driver, I'm playing this maxed out, by the way.

dont forget like any alpha the settings most prob wont be anywhere near as good as the finished product.
you might have it set to ultra everything but the game is most probably capped and this is why they dont want open talk on open forums

 

It might be just like Crysis 2, but I'm enjoying it lol. I usually dislike online mp shooters, especially military ones. Probably because I suck at them haha. I'm consistently near the top of the scoreboard in this game though. I don't feel like such a noob

Just a matter of a couple more hours now and I'll get the hang of head shots only sniping in yet another game!

 

I'm digging the shotgun. It's suited well for running and gunning, plus stealth. It's hilarious to sneak up on someone and shotgun-blast them from 2 feet away lol.

Well, nothing like good old ranged sharpshooting when cloaked.

if you can get to the crytek forum at work (lucky you as im blocked even with admin rights) and log in then you should be able to see the hidden section. it is linked to your email that you got the game sent to you.

look like i have the same problem, dam you system admistrators.... i bet there sat there in their little smelly room playing crysis 3 and reading the forums as we speak...

hey guys can somebody confirm what fps you geting on very high/ high -1920x1080?

32 FPS average
with my 6970M with core 850 and 1190

 

makes no difference as it will be capped. this has to be talked about on the crytek closed forum as people reading things like this then start moaning thinking the graphics are crap

lol, what a bummer. i only have one hour internet a day to do non work related things but somehow nbr isnt blocked after that time but all other forums are, hmmm strange

 

well im geting 35fps on very high/1920x1080 stock.
and i try oc 950x1500 and i geting 19fps

 

whats the difference between high and very high?AA maybe?

 

The game is NOT optimized at all low, if I play on medium I get 2 fps more? Ok logic

And quick note, anyone else noticed how OP the shotgun and snipers are?? I mean wow, I love dem snipz

I'm only getting framerates in the 20s

Mostly maxed out, but I lowered some settings like particle effects and motion blur. Not sure what I should lower to improve fps.

 

Worked lowering shadows for me

 

the only thing that i lowered was the motion blur to medium,and my frames are 31-35
everything else at very high+full hd(stock)

Idk why it's running so badly for me. I'll play around with the settings and monitor utilization. I run Crysis Warhead at 50+ fps, I would expect this to at least be close lol.

 

BECAUSE ITS A BLOODY ALPHA so please dont compare it to any RELEASED previous game.

almost upto level 10. liking it so far but its a shame its only 1 map.

 

lol yeah, I know it's not optimized or anything, I just thought I could do better than 19-22 fps. It's pretty much a slide show for me.

im set to max everything so just turned vsync off to see what it does.

whenever anyone wants a game just post an empty server name on here and we can search and join.

 

Well, so much for that, 50 FPS, everything on LOW and no motion blur/high res textures, with a 2760QM and a 6990 at 800/960 at 1080p. Seems like after a year this card is obsolete. Sigh.

 

Don't despair. It's certainly not! The game is only ALPHA, meaning it's still under development. I wouldn't expect the company to released the upstreamed code for the newer engine until RTM. After that, there'll be driver optimizations.. All should be fine

 

i turned my v sync of yesterday and it was unplayable and felt like i was in slow motion. reset back to on and everything fine now.

cant say too much but liking the gameplay so far. shame there isnt more than one map as i know it off by heart now.

getting pretty sick with map especially since I've played more than 50 rounds on it and I'm level 18...

It's your laptop overheating. Pop open the hood and dispense a can of compressed air! You MUST clean, you MUST maintain.

 

It's not overheating. I regularly dust my laptop with compressed air and have a it sit on a cooler in a cool room. GPU temperatures are around 87-89 degrees maximum. Not sure about the CPU thugh.

 

OK Then something is definitely off. PM me about what drivers you're using and the last one that offered best performance.

 

Played for 10 mins, felt really awkward because I can't mute my mic /:
But at least this game supports VoIP

Played museum, looks awesome, no issues with connection lag etc.
Game playability was minimal, set at 1280x720p and settings at medium (or is it one level below the highest settings idk)


I would say that Crysis 3 is something worth looking forward to.

nope, most definitely not. to play the alpha you are tied by the terms and conditions that you agreed to and Mobius is breaking the NDA rules. naughty Mobius also breaking nbr rules of posting a link to copyrighted material.
only place that they can be posted is on crytek hidden forum that you can only get to if you have a alpha key.

the i3D.net server removed the cap somehow, but just got contacted by EA and was sent a email regarding a bug involved on that particular server. I'll just be getting the XP equallivent of level 18. They reset it to lvl 10 now though. Lol
