Whats next? an armored tank with a pea shooter attachment?

Nuclear pea shooter, remember that new tech should be introduced to make it futuristic
-
How cool is this, all the aliens now can take an arrow to the knee
now we get to play cryskyrim :/ -
ahahahahahaha
-
Arrows? My god, the game does looks better, but please don't fail this one Crytek... the new Cryengine SDK update has just been released, I would assume we shall see a whole lot of new fun in Crysis 3.. but who knows

cryengine 3 is like limitless, some development stuff looks better than real (the face of the guy in the beginning), thanks for the video!
-
already available for pre release orders on origin for £39.99 (not sure what it is in $$$)
-
Crytek, please dont make this a crappy unfinished port like Crysis 2. I have nothing against the fact that they released Crysis 2 for PCs and consoles but when that affects the quality of the PC game i am pissed. Crysis 2 port was not even finished when they released it for the PC(no graphic settings, no DX 11 was just plain crap, and happened to quicksaving??), if you are porting the game atleast do it properly, dont make it a bad attempt like Crysis 2. I liked the Crysis 2 gameplay, not the same as Crysis 1 but fun in its own way, but i'd like the gameplay of this to be more open ended like Crysis 1.

So where can i download the demo?
-
I wish there was a demo out now, release date looks to be around Feb 2013.
I still remember the first time playing the Crysis demo on my 8800gt. Nothing I had ever played looked quite as amazing. Nothing else (at the time at least) made my computer feel so pathetic. You want to run AA? Nope. DX10 with playable frame rates? Hell no.
I'm just hoping that its more open than Crysis 2 (gameplay looks promising). -
Crysis 3 is going to be more like Crysis 2 than Crysis 1 so it wouldnt be open, and I hated how closed Crysis 2 was.
-
me still looking forward to it. im just playing all my back catalogue of games since getting my new beast and its like playing brand new games again.
John, i will send you a link to the beta
-
I still haven't finished Crysis 2, lol. I dunno, just doesn't seem to have the same appeal in the city setting as the first two did.
-
Crysis 3 looks like its making the urban jungle more, er, junglier (?). Otherwise maybe Far Cry 3 might be up your alley.
-
It has nothing to do with the jungle setting, just that Crysis and Crysis Warhead had a matching story surrounding that island. Crysis 2 just leaves all that behind and for whatever reason takes it to the urban setting. At least what I've played so far it doesn't explain a lot of the stuff from the first two Crysis games.
-
DJ, can you send me one too?
-
Yeah Crysis 2 never really delved into what happened on the Ling Shan Islands. There is a comic out which continues (and concludes) Nomad's story. It also fleshing out some details behind Prophet and of course Psycho, who looks to be coming back in Crysis 3.
-
Thats because Crysis 2 was developed with console in mind first and PC second, unlike Crysis 1 and Warhead. Because of that they had to develop the game where console players, who didnt get the first one, could play it without having played the first one.
I really wish they continued the story after the first one. At the end of crysis 1, when prophet goes back to the islands I was really looking forward the second one thinking it would start off from that point, but crytek, the sellouts that they are, screwed us PC gamers. -
I don't understand how Crysis 2 does away with the story from the original game. The Lingshan event awakened the Ceph, which then invaded NYC.
-
Great video!
Although I'm rather sure that's not my idea of "stealth"!
-
TBH I am much more excited for Far Cry 3 then crysis. Far cry 3 looks absolutely insane.
-
The game seems awfully similar to Crysis 2, as if it were an expansion.
My computer won't be able to handle the game but nor do I care for the Crysis series. -
A sequel that looks similar to the game before it? Get out of town! And how do you know you can't run it? It's not going to be that demanding.
-
What happened to Psycho? Nomad? What happens when Prophet takes of the ships and flies back to the island? How did prophet end up in NYC? Theres alot of questions. Anything that would've relied on having played Crysis 1 was basically removed from Crysis 2.
Its almost a different story entirely. -
Just because there's a lot of questions doesn't mean it's a different story. I'm still not seeing the great injustice.
-
Not that demanding? I can hardly play Minesweeper without my computer locking up *jokes*
My computer has trouble playing Minecraft when I set the render distance to far so I doubt playing Crysis will make my computer boast with joy. And sorry, didn't realize it was a sequel (not so keen on Crysis.) -
There is a obviously poorly advertised Crysis comic out which details pretty much what you are asking. Also if you don't want to find the comic then the Crysis wiki page has all the answers.
I will agree that this is poorly (read: not at all) explained in Crysis 2. -
Yikes. Crysis 2 scales fairly well (it still looks awesome on the specs in my sig) but yeah, if you have issues with minecraft you're gonna have a bad time.
