Does anyone use Crysis as a Benchmark platform?

Because... wouldnt it be very good since it cant even run on the Best PC out there on maxed out settings ? So every time a new computer or faster one can run it better with high settings represent its performance?

Or is it just because its still unoptimized... or do you just not believe its made for benchmarking?

And will Crysis come out on PS3? I heard only if it sells well and a porting team accepts...

PS3, hmm yeah not in it current form though. Crysis Instincts probably, a corridor shooter on the 360, not the open world of Crysis or old Far Cry for that matter.

I haven“t heard anything about a PS3 version, also if they did probably not Crytek developing it.

the game is optimized enough. it just uses high tech next gen features so it is very taxing on current pcs.and there is no ps3 version

Well, there's no harm in using it to benchmark if you include other games/apps as well.

I think it's unlikely that we'll see a PS3 version. It will take a lot of resources to learn to use the PS3 architecture and EA aren't exactly the porting masters either... But you never know.
