Wow that was such crap. They just released it today and they took it off already. How can it possible be full when they just released it this morning and I found out at 10. Lame, sorry guys.

 

they took it off? are you unable to play it or is it a key/download issue?

i have a key and accidently deleted the .exe because of the crashing - but i am right now about an hour away from having the .exe again from fileplanet.

 

Well if you have a key your fine. Yeah it appears they closed the beta. Makes no sense because I'm assuming that they had a thousand spots a couple hundred to over a thoussand sllots and I am on the east coast and wake up the earliest and found about it this morning. Hell some websites are reporting it as new like an hour ago.

 

i got mine ......last night at like 11:30 Central time...when i got it it said there was only a couple hundred left.....

i don't think the key will work for him....i mean, it'll work for the install, but then after that u'll have to activate it or something, and i think that the activation only works one time/per key... not sure tho..

i havent activated it or anyting... i downloaded Crysis and my desktop cant even start the installer....and my laptop is a couple days out...SO...yea.

Yeah but you need a key to get in, thats just the client.

man this game isn't playable at all (yes i know its only a beta).
I'm playing at 1440*900 resolution with all settings to low and i get between 10 and 35 frames only . The funny thing is it isnt possible with my stoch drivers to use antialias because then i get a black screen with a few dots which should be objects

 

Yeah no wonder crytek delayed the demo.

 

i hope the demo will be more playable because this gaming card should handle the game well. Even a 8800gtx at stock is only twice as fast which means it probablye will get 20 to 60 frames at 1440*900 with low settings. that would be horrible! Or am i wrong?

I was able to play it at 1680x1050 or w/e on high with my 8800gtx, didn't get lag but it didn't look as good as i thought it would. I wasn't able to run it on high at 1920x1240 or w/e

 

Installing. Yeah, maybe new drivers will come out that will help optimize along the way.

 

Played the new beta. Doesn't run too well on my 8600 GT 256MB. I can play 1200*800 with all settings on medium, which runs OKAY but not great. I was hoping I could play with some medium, some high settings, but that won't happen. Hopefully the final release will be much better.

 

YEah played it right now too. THis game needs ALOT of work thats all I'm gonna say.

 

i just re downloaded the game because i wanted to see if i can fix the cryengine from crashing but it appears that everyone in here is having so many problems that i dont even want to mess with the game until the demo comes out... maybe i should just wait and my problem will be solved...

 

i dl'ed the demo earlier but where do you get your key

seems as though the texture problem is for everyone - u have to wait for it to load.... the one thing im having problems with is that if i dont have the settings at low then the cryengine2 will crash

Correct. Not only that but certain graphical features otherwise available in DX9 have also been disabled.

 

damn! check this out. got the game, blah blah blah. ran it, detected 1024*768 all med, no aa or af, i think. played it on that res, but the game looked like crap, so i decided to switch to 1280*800, from then it looked beautiful! i did lose, however, considerable number of fps, but it was still playable and looked great on those settings.

 

what kind of settings did u run it on

very nice gameplay - smooth

hopefully after they optimize the game and add dx10 support this game will rock. i see people complaining about their 8800 gtx stuttering in the games, so obviously crytek has some work to do.

Bah, I can't even get into servers now. None of them connect. Weird I was playing fine before.

 

i have the same problem - only solution i found was to just go to random servers and try to get in, one will eventually start loading ;p

 

yeah, it will...make sure u're not running any firewalls as well
