Crysis Cheats won't work!

I can't seem to get the cheats to work, I follow the instructions everyone online gives to unlock the console and all that but all I get is an error saying it couldn't save (notepad)! Help!

I only played a small amount and my console was working by default that or I turned it on and do not even remember. I used it for the fps command.

Anyways the only reason I can think of that you cant save a file is that your in Vista or something and need admin rights.

 

What? hacks yes, cheats never heard that before. Besides he is not talking about the cheats but rather how to enable his console. There is no reason this is an invalid topic.

well I finally got it to save but now the game won't launch! Well it launches to the screen and I select my file and it loads then I hit the key to start and it crashes (hangs black)

 

Cheats are allowed. They have been around since the dawn of time.

How could have we finished starcraft without thereisnocowlevel or showmethemoney

Hacks/mods could be allowed depending on what it does.

 

Because I suck and can't finish the game without them!

 

Really? I would think putting it on easy, or whatever it is called, would make the game pretty simple to beat.

Or, you are just being sarcastic, which, btw, doesn't work too well over the internet.

 

hacks and cheating are very wide terms. flipfire put it best.

this type of "hacking" is just functionality that is built into crysis by the developers. its definitely allowed.

 

Now, now, now, calm down. You got Vista? Tell this to every person you know that has a problem with their console, because I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM.
This only works if you have Vista.

Step 1: Open Registry Editor (Start -> Type "regedit" in the search box -> click on the entry)

(Look at the red and blue circles: type regedit into the red circle and then click on the blue circle.)
Step 2: Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\i8042prt\Parameters

Step 3: Find the entry named OverrideKeyboardSubtype with REG_DWORD as the type.
Step 4: Change the value (should be 2 currently) to 0
Step 5: Load up Crysis and enjoy the fireworks!


Ideas: Go to the beginning of Contact, type "e_time_of_day 12" without the quotes.
Then watch the Aztec scene... in daylight. My brother commented on this, calling it a "sh1tty horror movie".
