Yeah...
They ported Crysis to consoles using the CryEngine 3. One of the big mysteries of Crysis 2 is the lack of physics. It's just gone. Shoot a tree for an hour and it won't take any damage.
But hilariously, when CryTek spent time to port Crysis to consoles, they implemented proper physics. But they did keep the controls from Crysis 2 the same for the Crysis port.
This for me makes me very curious why they bothered to have physics in this Crysis port using CryEngine 3 but decided to leave it out of Crysis 2...

because crysis 1 is built around physics.

I bought the Crysis remake for the Xbox 360 and it was awesome.
True they ditched the VTOL flying part at the end and it does drop frames when theres heavy action around, but the PC game did that too.
Players who started with Crysis 2 are gonna wonder why the aliens aint red in the first game though. xD -

that's because these are two completely different games.
Crysis was a PC game designed to a show a level of technical detail in physics and rendering that previously did not exist in real time applications. Crysis 2 was a cross platform FPS that was made to play out like a cross between Halo and Call of Duty.
When they later ported Crysis to consoles, they had to tone down the graphics a bit, but it's still the same game.
The issue is that Crysis on all platforms is better in many ways than Crysis 2. -
Crysis Console Port Physics is better than Crysis 2 PC...
